Brethren:
What are the ancient landmarks of Freemasonry? Which
ones have been officially adopted by the Grand Lodge of Wisconsin? We’ll
discuss this topic on Tuesday, July 7th, at our 7:00 PM Stated Communication.
The answers to those questions may surprise you! In May we talked about
the budget for the lodge and Doric needs to increase income drastically to
balance our budget. We’ll also talk about fundraising ideas that Brother
Scott Graham has been researching and about raising dues.
Thursday, July
16th is the Masonic golf outing. If you’re reading this in print, it’s
probably too late (check with Paul Hallingstad), but if you’re reading this
electronically, you may still have time to make reservations. Golf ($25)
will start at Noon; dinner ($13) will be at 6 PM. Reservations for the
Golf date are due by July 2nd. A link to the flyer/reservation form is on
the lodge website at www.doriclodge.com.
At our Stated Communication on
Tuesday, July 21st, we’ll hold a Fellowcraft degree. Re-scheduled from the
first meeting in July, Brother Richard Moen, PM from Social Lodge No. 245
(Cambridge) will help us out again with the stair lecture and will also do the
“Dew Drop” version of the “G” lecture.
Saturday, July 25th, will be the
date for the Annual BBQ/Grill-Out. See below or
details.
We’re still looking for someone from Doric to help organize the
adult advisors for DeMolay. Please let me know if you’re interested.
The coffee klatch meets every Thursday at 9:30 AM at the lodge and you can
bring your friends. Call Nick Elmquist, Chuck Porter Sr., or Roy Holm for
more info.
Please see the www.doriclodge.com for the latest news.
If you have an event you’d like to see or wish to talk to me about any topic;
please contact me.
See you in lodge!
