February 2007

From The East

Brethren:

I want to start by thanking the installation team of John Thorstad, Mark Severson and Dean Holman.  They did a great job and I’m very grateful to them for a job well done.  Thank you brother’s.

At our next meeting February 6th, we are having a get to know your Brother Mason’s night.  This will consist of what you do or did for a living, your hobbies, family, etc.  Please make it a point to come.  We will also be taking orders for Doric Polo Shirts.  This will be nice to wear at meetings or any Masonic events.  It will also show our pride for Doric and that we are very united.  If you can’t make the meeting and would like a Doric Polo Shirt, please call me and leave a message at 241-9436.  I checked the price of the shirts and they will run about $32.00.

We have a building search group consisting of Roy Holm and Mitch Custer.  We want a place of our own, THIS IS A MUST.  A letter of intent was sent to Doric from Starlite OES to join with us again.  We all look forward to be able to have a home.

Please keep in your thoughts and prayers Charles Rodefeld, Paul Kuntz and Fred Liedel.  Charles just had a stent put in, Paul is fighting Cancer and Fred has Prostate Cancer.  Plus Paul and Fred’s ladies have Alzheimer's.  My Aunt has this horrible disease and its not pretty.

We also have an E.A. coming up in the near future.  Another reason for a lodge.

We will be having a P.M. Dinner and other events in the near future.  I will keep you posted.   See you at our February 6th and 20th meetings.

Fraternally,

Charles {Chuck) Porter, Jr.  W.M.

Note from the Chaplin – Please keep the following in your thoughts and prayers – Paul Kuntz, Fred Liedel and the Tom Ross Family.
