October 2006

From The East

NOTICE---NOTICE---NOTICE---NOTICE

The lodge location has been changed starting with the meeting on October 3.  We will now meet in the lower level of the Eastside Club (Eastside Business Men’s Club) at 3735 Monona Drive.  It is located just north of the inter section of Cottage Grove and Monona Drive.

At our last meeting, a resolution was passed to form a committee to locate Masonic groups to work with to build a new building to house our Lodge.  I have appointed three people to this committee.  They are Greg Corey, Bob Larson and Bill Winge.  They are to report there findings back to Lodge no later than December 19, 2006. You will want to be on hand to hear their report and act in response.

I would like to let everyone know that election of Doric officers for 2007 will be held on November 7th.  If you are interested in serving your Lodge, please let Kelly Moore know.  He is working on his line at this time.

Thinking about the elections reminds me just how fast this year has moved.  A lot has changed for Doric this year and we have so much to look forward to in the days and years to come.  We do need new members so talk to people you know and get those petitions signed and turned in.  With that in mind, we do need to work on getting more members involved in the ritual work in lodge.  Let us get together and find the one part YOU would like to learn this year.

As is the case, we do want to see you in lodge. Let one of the officers know if you have been ill or could use some help.  We would be glad to assist in bringing you to lodge or paying you a visit if you are unable to attend on your own.

Here is to a great fall and the rest of the 2006 season.
