From The East

Brethren,

Happy to report things are well at Doric and we have three big events coming up.

May 3rd  we will have a program at our regular stated meeting by Mitch Custer, P.M. on Norman Vincent Peele who was a Mason.  Come and show Doric and Mitch your support.  Ladies are welcome to this program and we will have something downstairs to eat after the program.

May 6th is Doric’s Cat Fish Fry from 5pm to 7pm.  This is on a Friday.  Brother Keith Turner broke his hip, so Jim Moore P.M. took the leadership role of this with the help of Kelly Moore, S.W., Mitch Custer, P.M., Tom Ross, P.M. and Charles Porter, Jr., P.M.  If any of you would like to help, PLEASE give one of the above a call.  If you can’t help and would like to donate something again give them a call.   So far we have Cole Slaw, Potato Salad.  We need other things like Soda, Rolls, Baked Beans.  The price of this will be $7.00.  Please support your Lodge and Jim and his crew by attending.  No reservations.

May 22nd  2pm, which is on a Sunday will be our Ladies Day Dinner at Doric.  Our speaker will be the Attorney General for the State of Wisconsin, Peg Lautenschlauger.  This will be a catered Prime Rib Dinner at the cost of $15.00.  This may seem high but I don’t think you can get it any cheaper, this we will need reservations for.  Call me at 244-2348 by NO LATER THAN MAY 12th.  Our caterer needs an exact number for his ordering.  If I’m not home leave a message.  Starlite is also invited.  PLEASE ATTEND and give our Ladies a nice afternoon

May 17th will be a regular stated meeting.  Snacks afterwards

In closing, seven of us from Doric did a Lodge visit and had a good time, this gave us an opportunity to meet other Brothers and engage in nice talks.  Our S.W. Kelly Moore did a superb job at greeting and talking to the other Brothers.  He sure made Doric a shinning star.  It shows what a bright future we have.  I’ve been lucky to have two great Wardens who are always willing to step up to the plate.  Thanks Kelly and Chuck.

Please remember Tom Ross in your thoughts and prayers.

See you at our meetings and events.  Doric is great because of all of you.

                                                                        Fraternally, Chuck
